The Deacon Ministry is asking all Bethel Baptist Church Members to Fast and recite this prayer at least once every Wednesday between the hours of 6:30 -7:30 pm. The purpose of this prayer is to prepare the membership of Bethel Baptist Church as we seek God’s guidance for deliverance of our new Pastor. Matthew 7:7-8 says “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened”. In our prayer, we are asking God for Patience, Unity and Peace within this Body of Christ during this season, Colossians 3:12,14-15 “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.” If you like, you may recite the Bethel Church prayer as often as you want, but please, make sure you recite our Church prayer on the appointed day and time for church unity, 1 Corinthians 1:10 says “Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
Bethel Baptist Church Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father
We, the members of Bethel Baptist Church come to you in holy submission asking you to hear our prayers. We come to you in need of your loving touch, in need of your healing power and in need of your joy. We come to you in the Mighty Name of Jesus the Christ asking you for forgiveness of our transgressions against you and each other. Help us to be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another as Christ forgave us. Lord we seek your guidance as we enter into our season of patience for your deliverance of another Pastor. We thank you for the Shepherds you have provided for us over the years. We thank you for their leadership and guidance. Father God we ask you for unity within our church and create in us a clean heart. Please Father God, remind us that although we are many members we are one body in Christ. Plant this in our hearts and minds so that we may hold firm to your spirit and your word.
Heavenly Father we ask you to touch us so that we remain at peace with ourselves and with one another during this season. Help us to maintain peace in your house and our homes so that we may hear and feel your Spirit. Lord, grant us your perfect peace so that we may know your will for Bethel Baptist Church. Father your word in Mark 9:50 says “Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another”. Help us to come in peace and go in peace always lifting each other up in the mighty name of Jesus and if we disagree or there is strife amongst us let us lean to your word and understanding to resolve any and all issues. Father God, as we go through this season we ask you for direction and guidance and that you order our steps, our hearts and our minds. Help us to seek your wisdom and include you in every action and step we take during this season. Light our path so that we find your truth and your will for Bethel Baptist Church and please find favor in our request.
And Heavenly Father, keep us humble and gentle so that we may find patience in one another as we wait on a word from you. Your word in Psalms 5:3 says “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly”. Grant us the Patience of Jesus, the Peace of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit during this season. Father God, help us to work together in love as one body in Christ and honor the name of Jesus. Keep us in your loving arms and send your angels to protect us as we wait expectantly and joyfully for your blessings. This is our humble prayer and we ask this in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
